Obsessed with shoes as I am, it's hard not to jump with joy when you have such gorgeous styles being churned out. Spring 2010 has doled out some stunning designs, and reinvented existing designs. From killer heels in plastic to pumps in floral prints or even must-have gladiators with embellished ankles; the whole range is so exquisite, that splurging on one of these beauties might just be well worth it.

You may see blossoms all around you, now that spring is in the air. You can take floral from the garden to your shoe closet. Floral prints are wild this season. From pumps to oxfords, floral prints are everywhere, but if you're not one to experiment, at least show solidarity with a rosette bow pump.

Like last year, shoes in neutral shades are the rage, so bring out the beige, tans and taupes. Soft nude is a brilliant shade that can complement many different outfits. For all those outfits which didn't have a shoe to go with, now you have an answer. Pair it with a nude. Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo have come out with some spectacular pumps and sandals in neutrals.

For casual summertime chic, pair your summer dress or a short skirt with informal wedges. The taller your wedges the better. Woodgrain wedges in neutral or pastel shades are perfect for a relaxed day look. Or if you want to shake things up a notch, you can pair your cropped jeans with gladiators or peep-toe booties. Aldo has some really cute gladiators with embellished ankles, so it actually feels like you're wearing beads or anklets. Another chic trend is the hardware accented shoe. Studded clogs can be an interesting addition to your wardrobe.

Animal prints, like Alexander Wang's leopard print wedges, although a little over the top, are a huge hit too. Another off-the-beaten track trend is plastic. Plastic shoes have taken the runway by the storm. Killer heels, platform sandals and what have you. But that's not all. Leather and suede are also textures to look out for. Leather is making its presence felt even in clothing trends this year. And then there are the oxfords and brogues. Nicholas Kirkwood designed the most perfect brogue for his SS10 collection. Why should boys have all the fun? Brogue shoes can complement a preppy look or contrast an ultra-cute girly ensemble.

Even if you can't afford the designer labels, be on prowl online and you might strike gold.

Christian Louboutin Glittered Platform Pump Oxblood pair close by PrincessPoochie

For most women, shoes are our favorite accessory - and in the spirit of all things gorgeous and stylish, I'm taking a look at the best shoes of the 2010 Fall Fashion Season. It's not exactly a chore, though there is some wistfulness about it (my favorites are all pretty pricey). But somebody has to find the best shoes out there this 2010 fall fashion season. Somebody should, anyway.

And that self-appointed somebody is me.

Now, keep in mind that I'm a little person, so I'm quite biased towards heels. I know that heels are not for everybody, but honestly, they should be. It doesn't matter how tall you are. Seriously. The best shoes, and certainly the best shoes this fall fashion season, are all heels.

Another thing to keep in mind: the best shoes are not always the cheapest shoes. Especially when you're dealing with the best designers in fashion.

Now, without further ado, the best shoes of the 2010 fall fashion season:

1) Christian Louboutin over-the-knee stiletto boots. Christian Louboutin has by far the best pair of shoes out there this 2010 fall fashion season. Fair warning, though: these Louboutin over-the-knee boots are more than a little outrageous.

First of all, they're patent leather, which is one of my favorite materials (it's so shiny - and waterproof). Second, they're stilettos, which are my favorite form of high heel. Third, they're platforms, so they're a little more comfortable (and Louboutins, by the way, are much more comfortable and feel much different than any other shoe - something about their construction). And last, but definitely not least, they have an exposed zipper (one of my latest fashion obsessions) that runs from the top of the boot all the way down the stiletto heel to the floor.

All the way. To the floor.

If you can afford the Christian Louboutin over-the-knee stiletto boots, I encourage you to buy them. I'm not pulling punches, here - they're a whopping $2,395. But you could wear them forever - they're Louboutins, and black boots never go out of style anyway. Love.

2) Chanel tweed knee-high boots. These Chanel boots are a testament to tweed, which is one of the biggest fabrics we're seeing in the 2010 fall fashion designer collections.

These Chanel tweed boots aren't stilettos, and they are a hodge-podge of colors and textures - tweed here, tufts of fabric here. They're like Paul Bunyan meets Heidi Klum, if you know what I mean. These Chanel tweed boots aren't for the faint of heart, either - they're going to make a serious statement, and you can't downplay them with the rest of your outfit.

Likewise, you need to have enough fashion savvy to know how to dress the Chanel tweed boots so that you don't look like a lumberjack lost on your way to the log cabin. But, again, if you can afford these and you're bold and adventurous, take the plunge on the Chanel tweed boots.

3) Yves Saint Laurent blue suede platform pumps. Blue suede shoes are back, my friends, in the form of these delicious Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps.

If you're not into boots, these YSL pumps are an excellent alternative. They're electric blue, they have a sizeable platform (to give little ladies like me some stature), and they have an elegant, nearly-stiletto heel.

Again, they're pricey at $720, but with the suede, these YSL pumps get the texture that's so popular this 2010 fall fashion season, yet they don't make the overwhelming statement that the Chanel tweed boots do. These YSL pumps are easier to wear, easier to blend (yes, even though they're blue - in fact, blue is my favorite color for a shoe), and can dress up or dress down. All in all, a perfect shoe for the 2010 fall fashion season.

red bottom shoes cork heel slingbacks patent leather black by dustinferes54

The frugal fashionista always keeps an eye out for the latest styles as well as the best sales. In an effort to help keep the fashionista's budget under control, Cosmopolitan magazine offers a section called "Splurges vs. Steals." The purpose is to show women how to capture the same amazing looks as their favorite celebrities, for half the price. While we all know that the "red-bottom" shoe craze (Christian Louboutin shoes) is in full effect, not everyone in the world has Louboutin loot. But attempts to recreate these looks for less cash can come across looking more cheap than chic. To avoid this fashion pitfall, take note of the major differences between "splurges" and "steals."

Shifty Shoes

Most designer shoes are manufactured with materials that are built to last. Boots and pumps with leather uppers will obviously last longer than those made out of vinyl or other light materials. Natural textures are more expensive because they tend to yield to one's foot shape, and are often more comfortable. Synthetic textures used to make the fashionable knock-offs are usually much lighter in weight, yet less yielding. You'll sometimes find that wearing these shoes for extended periods of time doesn't do much for the "breaking in" process. Furthermore, pay close attention to the heels and soles of your favorite knock-offs; cork wedge heels will look sturdy, but feel hollow once you pick them up. Some wooden heeled shoes are actually designed to look like real wood, but are actually made of synthetic materials. The soles of some of these shoes tend to wear out more easily, which ultimately cuts their overall durability in half.

Low-grade Embellishments

That hot little military jacket with the shiny crystals may look like a steal. But after one night of dancing, you may find that you've actually left several of those crystals on the nightclub floor. Instead of adhering those lovely Swarovsky stones you love so much, manufacturers who copy famous lines embellish their garments with rhinestone-like crystals-or worse, plastic ones that are intended to mimic the designer looks. You may also discover that simple items like buttons, buckles, or zippers are made just as flimsily. Thus, the garments you've ordered online (or bought in stores) don't make it past a few outings because the pulling and stretching has caused the fasteners to break.

Change in Style

Sometimes the difference between a $2000 frock and a $40 frock is a style re-dress. For example, Herve Leger's strapless Cut Out dress for $1900 is marked by a series of sexy slivers along the right side of the garment, revealing several peeks of flesh. It's low-cost cousin-a BeBe number, also reveals some slivers of skin; but this $39 version has less than half the cut outs, which are situated along each side of the dress. Additionally, the BeBe dress is designed with thick straps. In the end, what you have is a dress that was created in the vein of Herve Leger's original, but with considerable changes. Believe it or not, these subtle changes may not translate with the same amount of couture "edge." Another example? David Lerner's $100 ripped leggings and their $34 counterparts created by Silence and Noise. While Lerner's leggings have a haphazard appeal, with cut-outs of different shapes and sizes all over the garment, the lesser-priced version has rips only along the outer sides of the legs. To some, the cheaper version's strategically placed rips may appear more "manufactured"-thus, cheap.

Christian Louboutin- White Lady Clou Slingbacks by jordan23queen

Espadrilles are great for summer. They're comfortable to wear and are virtually weatherproof. This is mainly because espadrille soles are made of rope, or a rope-resembling kind of rubber. Along with the soft sole, the straps of this shoe are usually made of cloth or canvas but it is not only limited to those materials. A common misconception with the espadrille is that it is sometimes called a wedge. The wedge shoe only refers to the shape of the heel but not all wedges are espadrilles.

There are so many styles of espadrilles to choose from but here's a list that will hopefully lead you to great finds no matter what your budget is. Disclaimer : the prices listed below may vary depending on the store and promotions that are not within control of this author.

Ankle-tie espadrilles are very chic and versatile. You can wear them from casual to dressy events - within the beach vicinity, that is. You can also tie those ribbons to whatever the occasion, or your whims, might dictate.

Rickrack trim espadrille $15
Skull-and-Bones Espadrille $29.99
Rocket Dog Women's Anna Espadrille $44.95
Elie Tahari Arielle Wedges $225.18

Slingbacks are a very popular style for espadrilles. But unlike slingback 'heels', espadrille slingbacks are much more demure and playful at the same time, with the variety of colors that are available today. There are even colorful and funky designs out there which make this shoe a total must-have for summer.

Sugar Espadrille Slingback Montego Bay Club $7
Colin Stuart Slingback Espadrille Wedge $48
Lovely People 'Scorpio' Sandal $98.95
KORS Michael Kors Ace Woven Espadrilles $225

Strappy espadrilles are the most comfortable kind of strappy shoes you can wear. The selection below is a tad pricier but you can be sure that you will be standout with these beautiful designs.

MICHAEL Michael Kors 'Summer' Wedge Sandal $57.90
Lauren Ralph Lauren 'Celestine' Stretch Crossband Espadrilles $79
KORS by Michael Kors Allie Espadrille Wedges $240
Burberry Check Espadrilles $299.00

Metallic/Textured are more glitzy and glamorous compared to their other espadrille peers. They're best worn for the evening and might be considered overkill if worn by day.

Avery Snake Platform Espadrille $129.00
Stuart Weitzman Women's Bendit Espadrille $175.12
Stuart Weitzman Mettalic Espadrilles $275.00
Christian Louboutin Platform Espadrille $475

Closed Toe espadrilles can either be ankle-tie, or slingback but you can be sure they're still light and airy enough for the beach. Having only coverings on the front - sometimes the back, with openings on the side, they're the perfect compromise between relaxation and restraint.

Tommy Hilfiger Women's Arcola Espadrille $56.54 - $65.95
daniblack Crowne $125
Bettye Muller Women's "Katy" Linen Espadrilles $170.00
Stuart Weitzman - Gosling Black/White Gingham Espadrilles $250

Peeptoe or open toe are the cross between closed-toe and sandal type espadrilles. The peeptoe is gaining its popularity back after a brief stint a few decades ago. Now, they look more young and preppy making them perfect for beach parties and trips to the mall.

Floral Peep Toe Slingback Wedges $16.99
Franco Sarto Comedy $79.00 - $59.99
Women's Spring Step Jeanette $89.95
Kenzo Women's 293921 Espadrille $140.78 - $145.68
Oscar de la Renta Embroidered Espadrille Wedges $525

Flats also come in espadrille soles. They are more closely related to sneakers or ballerina shoes which is a perfect option for sporty girls and - ballerinas?

Simple Espadrille Ballet Shoe $29
Simple Tic Tak Toe 85
Kenneth Cole $98
Flat Reva Espadrille $165

Closed espadrilles are the most conservative for this type of shoe. You can even probably use it at work without much opposition for dress code violations.

Andre Assous "Pamela" Canvas Espadrille Wedge $29.99
Annie Shoes Women's Belinda Espadrille $49.95
J. Shoes Women's Raquel Wedge Pump $124.95
Missoni LM43 $240

You can always check out more styles and there are plenty of them to choose from. Just remember in choosing shoes, comfort weighs more than fashion. Although espadrilles are already comfortable footwear by themselves, other factors such as heel height, the arc of the sole and fit of the straps are important to ensure yourself a blister-free summer experience.

Christian Louboutin Nude Glitter pump sole detail by PrincessPoochie

The Sex in the City era made every female go gaga (no not that Gaga) over Manolo Blahnik sandals. For the second decade of the 21st century, Christian Louboutin shoes are the rage in stylish, sexy heels. It is hard to miss a pair of these pumps with the signature red leather sole peeping out beneath the famous heels. If you are a Louboutin lover, you probably can't wait to see what the fall line has in store. Peep a preview of five drool worthy Christian Louboutin shoes for the fall 2011 season.

Ruched Suede Ankle Boots, $1,095.00 at Saks Fifth Avenue

I have been converted. I am now a lover of the peep toe boot. I never saw the sanity in such a design however, they are a great fall, not winter, boot. Christian Louboutin's ruched peep toe ankle boot in camel is one of my favorite peep toe boots from the upcoming fall 2011 season. This peep toe ankle boot features a hidden three quarter-inch platform, a four-inch self-covered heel, leather lining, padded insole and of course the signature Louboutin red leather sole. The shoe also comes in black, which is attractive as well, however the camel version is hot and will complement the IT color of fall, bold gold.

Jenny Knotted Platform Pump, $895.00 at Bergdorf Goodman

The Jenny Knotted Platform Pump comes in two versions, amethyst and glitter. What can I say? I love both versions equally. The Jenny Knotted Platform in amethyst is in line with the purple haze of the fall 2011 season and is a more formal pump. The Jenny Knotted in glitter is a younger, more fun pump that is both cocktail dress-ready and appropriate to wear with jeans. This pump features a self-covered one-inch platform; a self-covered 5 9/10 -inch heel; an elastic slingback to secure the ankle; leather lining and red leather sole.

Glittered Keyhole Mary Jane, $945.00 at Neiman Marcus

"I'm in love with Mary Jane. She's my main thang!" While Rick James was referring to an -- ahem - other Mary Jane, I sing that line thinking about the Glittered Keyhole Christian Louboutin Mary Jane. This new look for a classic shoe, still yields to the sensibility of the classic Mary Jane while combining a touch of whimsy with the two-toned glittered fabric and keyhole design. This Mary Jane is a subtle way to add a little fun and flirt to a classic tweed suit for work. If you are not skilled at walking in skinny heels, then I must advise to stay clear of it. The shoes have a four-inch skinny heel with no platform for added stability making it tricky and dangerous for the inexperienced.

Lavalliere Bow Pumps in Camel, $795.00 at Saks Fifth Avenue

While flash and luxe are always eye-catching, there is something to be said for the feminine piece that is demure and subtly sexy. For me the Lavalliere is just that. Nothing ostentatious about this lady-like pump just soft leather with a grosgrain ribbon detailing that lends a color-block feel to the shoe. The Lavalliere also comes in black, however, I think the black leather and black ribbon cancel each other out and look rather bland. I recommend this pump in camel.

Ecotrash Platform Slingback, $1,095.00 at Neiman Marcus

Hands down, this is my favorite shoe from the fall 2011 season. I can even say that without seeing every shoe produced in this style. For one I love the idea of a piecework luxury shoe made from the "scraps" of other Louboutin shoes and handbags. Eco-luxe is more like it when it comes to this shoe because the pieces that make up each shoe are luxury fabrics and no Ecotrash Platform will be the same. If you can afford a luxury item, this shoe will be worth it because it is a one-of-a-kind purchase with no duplicate. This means you do not have worry about someone having the same shoe as you. Honestly, I recommend taking excellent care of these shoes as I am sure in a few decades they will be collector's items. Standards for each Ecotrash shoe are a two-inch platform and six-inch heel.

These five Christian Louboutin shoes are the hottest of the fall 2011 season. For my budget fashionistas, use these Louboutins as inspiration to find cheaper styles that fit your spending power. If you are a Louboutin fan and want to make a luxury purchase for yourself I recommend the Ecotrash Platform Slingback. Normally I don't recommend such an extravagant purchase. However, one-of-a-kind fashions become collector's items after a few decades. Therefore, if you take excellent care of them they become an investment to be handed down or even sold to a collector. Well lovelies, I am still in my fall preview kick so check back throughout the summer for more of my fall 2011 faves before the retail season hits.

The Roc family was out in full force for the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch yesterday at the Soho House in L.A.  Peep the pics of Rihanna, Christina Milian, J.Cole, and more inside...

Rihanna rocked a Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 strapless pantsuit ensemble made of a basket-print taupe/olive fabric.  And hit the carpet with her blonde hair for the first time.

And as the brunch took place before Whitney's death, celebs were in good spirits in the beautiful setting.  The party was DJ'd by Samantha Ronson.  And the beautiful folks noshed on some yummies--passed smoked salmon on brioche and Kobe short rib sliders, mini parfaits, a crepe station, and two bars — one omelet, one booze.  Nice.

Not loving the dark vampy makeup with such a light hair color.

And Rih showed of her Louboutin Pigalle pumps which she had autographed by Mr. Christian Louboutin himself.

Christina Milian rocked this green strapless pointed bust dress for the occasion:

She knows how to show off her cute figure.  And nice Q by Pasquale shoes.

Kelly Rowland celebrated her b-day on the carpet and with her bestie Michelle Williams before heading out to more parties and a birthday dinner last night:

Kelly knows how to make even jeans look stunning.  She rocked a mustard bluse and kept it simple in skinny jeans and nude Louboutin pumps and cute Dolce & Gabbana leopard purse.

And Michelle rocked her little black dress with black & white striped pumps.

Ne-Yo and his artist Ravaughn stopped by, of course, well before his own annual pre-Grammy midnight brunch.

And Roc Nation kids Wale, Melanie Fiona, and J.Cole all partied it up together at Soho House as well before hitting up the numerous parties of the night.  Fab times.

The Giuseppe Zanotti is one of the top designer shoes on the scene now. The E00068 is one from the evening collection, a stunning stiletto heeled black shoe covered with mosaics of small mirrors that are encased in the black leather straps that cross in almost skyscraping fashion. Zippers in the back and an open-toe in the front, these shoes are perfect for a night on the town. Another shoe by Giuseppe Zanotti is the zip cuffed jewel sandal, which has the exotic look of Egypt with its high stiletto heel and its give heavily ornamented cuffs that form the straps of the shoe. Each one is patterned differently, one with beads, another with silver studs, another with melted gold, and the last with giant silver balls and golden pieces.

Another hot designer is Bourne, who unleashed a line of stunning designer shoes this year. The Tiffany is an elegant studded stiletto with style and regality. Studded with diamonds and sparkling jewels, the straps of this shoe have a woven pattern and leave space for an open-toed mark of feminine elegance. For a more 1940s flapper look, Bourne offers the Petunia sling back sandal, a rich purple stiletto heeled shoe with a large, elegant, flirty flower at the toe, made with silver beads and purple netting.

For stylish shoes that are perfect for a fun night on the town, the Christian Louboutin brand offers satin slides that come in black or cranberry satin and are made from criss-crossed satin pieces. With five inch heels and an open-toe, they would match perfectly with dancing dresses and skirts. For more conservative outfits, Christian Louboutin offers black platform or sling back pumps that have elegantly shaped soles and slick, sharp heels, perfect for a job interview or a fancy dinner out on the town.

For unique shoes, Badgley Mischka is sure to please. Their design of Hyde offers an extraordinary shoes that comes in a sea blue shade with satin covering and silk ruffles that allow for a classic, elegant, vintage appeal that will be fashionable for decades to come. Another amazing piece by them is the Randee high heel ruffle flower shoe. An beautiful shade of coral pink, the shoe is made up of satin ruffles that cluster at the front of it to create a fancy and beautiful flower body. The Badgley Mischka Carlton pumps with a bow is a perfectly classic shoe perfect for formal dances or weddings. Covered in a bridal dress white satin it is a close-toed pump that is marked with a delicate and ladylike bow beside the ankle.

Finally, for the glamorous and the fabulous, Dolce Vita provides shoes that are stunningly stylish but can be worn in casual settings adding flair to ordinary jeans and t-shirt outfits. The Agatha studded thong sandals are a mixture of flip-flop open toed sandals merged with an ankle-high boot. Wrapped with bold studded cuffs, these shoes are certain to add style to any outfit with which they are worn. For everyday wear, the Dolce Vita Miller studded leather oxfords transform a classic shoe style into a studded thing of beauty and high fashion.

Peep-toe booties, which made a strong showing on the runways for fall 2009, are going to be even bigger for spring. The key when buying a pair of peep-toe booties for spring is to choose booties in earthy spring colors. I like open toe booties in beige suede or in caramel leather. Here is my list of the top five peep-toe booties for spring. Wear with your favorite silk tunic and cut-off shorts or with a flirty floral dress and you will be sporting one of the hottest spring looks.

Joie Rock Steady Fringe Suede Booties - These booties incorporate all of the hottest elements. Of course they have that wonderful peep-toe and come in a lovely shade of sand. They feature fringe and slash details and a cut-out heel cap. The booties lace up behind the ankle and have a 3.25" wedge heel. They are available on shop bop.com for $345.

Christian Louboutin Strappy Platform Bootie - These lovely babies sell for $995 at Neiman Marcus and I know, I can't afford them either, but they are just so gorgeous, if you are a shoe addict like me, you need to see these wonderful tan booties. They are made of brown calf leather and feature a peep-toe and a sexy strappy upper. They zip in the back and have a 5" stacked heel.

If you love these boots, I have found a knock off available on eluxury.com for $170. I am sure they are not the same quality as the Louboutin's, but if the online photo is accurate they look very similar.

Stuart Weitzman "Fetish" bootie - These cute peep-toe booties also look similar to the gorgeous Louboutin pair. They are available in almond and black and feature an exposed side zipper and a 4 ¾" heel with a 1 ½" platform. These peep-toe booties are available online at Nordstrom's for $430.

Diane Von Furstenberg's "Alexandria" Bootie - This is the only colored pair to make my top five list. These peep-toe booties feature narrow slits detail and a suede wrapped heel that is 4 1/4" high. They have a back zip closure and are stunning in ink blue. They are available at select Nordstrom's stores for $425.

Mossimo Velika Peep-Toe Pumps - The budget minded Fashionista will go crazy for these cute brown peep-toe booties available online at Target for a mere $29.99. They are made of faux leather and feature a 3.5" stacked heel with a ¾ platform. They lace up in the front. These inexpensive peep-toe booties have gotten stellar reviews from buyers. My guess is that they will sell out fast.

I will admit that I was not crazy for the peep-toe booties that were being shown for fall. The black or funky colored numbers really didn't do anything for me. The earth tone peep-toe booties designers are showing for spring are another matter all together. I adore this look. My only dilemma now is which pair to choose.

I wanna be (LOVE)ed by You by Orangeya

10,000 years ago, deep in the caves of Oregon, early man produced the world's first pair of shoes. The ancient shoes, made of woven bark, were nothing more than a shield from the elements. Tens of thousands of centuries later and halfway around the world, a young boy by the name of Christian Louboutin wandered into a gentleman's night club in Paris and witnessed female nudity for the first time. Awestruck and enamored, the nude female form became Louboutin's inspiration behind one of the biggest fashion empires to date.

During his teenage years, Louboutin often drew women's shoes in his notebooks during school. Then, in 1979, he saw a billboard in Paris for the Oceanic Museum of Art. The billboard banned women's stilettos from the museum, and Louboutin fixated on the sign's 50s iconic image. As a result, he began to draw shoes with soft soles and smaller buckles, much like the ones he drew in his school notebooks.

Louboutin sought higher learning from the design schools of Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. He initially worked at the universities, and then began working for Roger Vivier in 1988. While working for Vivier, Louboutin realized that his calling was to create women's shoes. He worked as a landscaper for three years but returned to the fashion industry in 1992 with his own line of shoes. The solo artist created classic, timeless footwear that enabled women to reach bold new heights.

Louboutin first tried offering his shoes to women at parties, but the women claimed that the shoes were too expensive or that they had no money. Not to be deterred, he soon opened his first store, offering free coffee to his often-wealthy shoppers. Before long, retail giants like Neiman Marcus and American began to carry his designs as well. One evening, during a runway show, he realized that his shoes were incomplete. He spotted an employee's red Chanel nail polish, and painted the soles of his footwear. The red sole still remains the trademark of the high-end shoes. Today, Louboutin has designed and opened 5 stores in the Unites States and several more boutiques across the globe.

Ten different hands touch each hand-made shoe. Louboutin sees a shoe as a human face, insisting upon the perfect proportion and proximity. Adornments are only additions, he has said, and they will never create the perfection but rather enhance it. Several years ago, Louboutin produced a bridal variation of his footwear, which featured blue soles. But due to trademark issues, he had to stop making them. His most expensive product was one that he created for a man and wife. The soles were encrusted with rubies, and their sole purpose was for the wife to wear them in the marital bed. One of his more notable styles, called "inseparables," was born in the early nineties. The sought-after flats featured a left shoe with the letters "LO," and a right shoe with the letters "VE."

Louboutin's work has achieved prominent notoriety within the media. Oprah Winfrey instantly became a fan of the shoes after seeing them in Tina Turner's dressing room, describing the shoes as "little pieces of sculpture." Musicians from Madonna to Carrie Underwood are fans, and Actresses Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman wear them as well. The rich and famous from Japan, Jordan and the United Kingdom also pay homage, while the average and anonymous can show support in the form of a Christian Louboutin manicure - a black manicure with red undersides. Even museums have constructed galleries to showcase the fancy French footwear.

Shoes have come a long way since their birth 10,000 years ago. No longer are shoes solely a means of protection. They make a statement, and the Christian Louboutin collection is no exception. From his creative beginnings in grade school to the fashion empire he oversees, his designs remain a step ahead of the rest. So much so, that fans of the sensational soles are often seeing red. Louboutin once said, "Designing my shoes, I'm thinking timeless. Not trendy." He spoke with eloquence and truth. The Christian Louboutin legacy is here to stay.

Christian Louboutin New Simple Pump 120mm Grey by Kisske

One of my favorite things about fall is that we are finally able to wear great fashion boots all season. These days, there are so many options of great boots, from great styles and colors, to fun embellishments that really add something special. There are ten categories of some of my favorite features in great fall boots. With so many options, it's good to have them narrowed down by category and where to get them. Most are available online, but some can also be purchased in store. Here are my favorite ankle boots for fall.

Best Black:

Women's Xhilaration® Kalliope Button Ankle Boots - Black

Target.com, $29.99

These boots are great because of their sleek black leather color and their great button embellishments. The heel is a great height, and the tops of the boots hit at a good location on the ankle. The price is also great for boots this cool. These can be worn over or under a great pair of jeans and an awesome jacket.

Best Suede:

Guess "Dottest" Ankle Boot

Macys.com, $102.99

These are my favorite pair of boots out of the whole list. They are a great color of charcoal and make out of suede. The top of the boot is gathered into a pattern, and the stiletto heel is very fashionable. These also feature a hidden platform, which makes you look taller.

Best Color:

Sasha Ruffle Bootie - Purple

Payless.com, $34.99

These boots are great because of their rich purple color. I like boots with a bit of color because they add excitement to any outfit. These have folds of material on the side that gives them a more interesting look. The heel is shorter than a lot of heels, but they are a good height that is more comfortable. Overall, these boots seem like a steal at their price.

Best Embellishment:

BCBGeneration Model

Zappos.com, $128.95

These boots, available in purple and black, feature metallic embellishments on the top of the boot. They also feature a rounded toe and a platform. They are made out of suede and look very upscale and fashionable.

Best Brown:

Moda Spana Ultimo

Zappos.com$99.95

These are very simple, but very stylish. They are versatile, which makes them a must have. They are made from brown suede, and have a nice heel on them. There are no embellishments or folds, but they can be dressed up by the clothing, or worn simply under pants.

Best Flat:

Gabriella Rocha Cybal

Zappos.com, $109

These are great for those who love the look of high fashion boots, but choose comfort over the high heels. These are a stylish flat boot with great detailing on the back of the heel. They have a rubber bottom that helps with traction on snowy and icy days. The material is gathered on top, which helps give it a fashionable feel.

Best Wild Animal Print:

Nine West Shoes, Zelman7 Ankle Boots

Macys.com, $119

These wild boots are available in orange/brown cheetah print, or grey cheetah print. Personally, I like the grey the best. The bottom part of these heel boots are plain leather, and the cheetah print is in a folded cuff at the top. These are versatile as well, because the cuff can be easily covered up with pants, but what would be the point of covering up such fun heels?

Best Buckle:

Paris Hilton Shoes, Courtney Ankle Boot

Macys.com, $99

These heels are great because they are suede on the bottom, and have bold patent leather straps across the top. The key feature, however, is the oversized buckle on the outside of the boot. It gives it a little extra excitement, and they are very high fashion at a low price. The bottoms are also red in the spirit of Christian Louboutin, so as you walk away you are giving an extra flash of excitement.

Best Designer Splurge

Dolce and Gabbana Ankle Boots $595

http://store.dolcegabbana.com/item/store/DG/tskay/9BEC955A/rr/1/cod10/44172507WL/areaid//sts/

These boots are truly beautiful, and truly a big splurge. They are a great ankle boot made out of suede material. The key to these boots is the satin and lace bow at the toes that makes these boots ultra feminine and beautiful. In my opinion, these are the best shoes in Dolce and Gabbana's new line.

Best Bow

Newport News Ankle Boot with bow detail

Newportnews.com, $49

These boots come in light grey or black, and have a low heel and a fold over top. There is a large bow embellishment right at the ankle that gives these boots extra excitement. The cuff can also be brought up to make the tops of the boots taller. These are nice and versatile.

All of these boots are ones that would look great with just about any fall outfit. The most important thing is to make sure that the heels are comfortable and that the bottom has suitable traction for walking in the snow and ice that this season brings. Overall, just have fun with the look and try new things! You might find that you actually like the wild animal prints or the over-the-top embellishments when you didn't before.

Louboutin Freddy studded lace-up oxfords creme gold detail back by PrincessPoochie

Thats what they call 'Glamorous' by Unique'Queen

Spike T.V.'s 5th AnnualNeighborhood: Hollywood
Los Angeles, CA 90069
United States of AmericaJune 4th, 2011 - Last night I hit the red carpet for Spike T.V.'s 5th Annual "Guy's Choice" Awards to give my Stylist expertise on who wore what and why it did or did not work. Let's begin with the style award winners.

Best Dressed

Mila Kunis stunned in a sheer scale print , above the knee with collar, button up dress from the Givenchy Pre-Fall 2011 collection. What made her outfit , aside from a seem-less fit, were the accessories!

Style Tip: En mode, match neutral colored clothes with bright accessories. In Mila's case, she opted to accentuate her look with a coral Bottega Veneta clutch, nude peep toe pumps by Christian Louboutin and gold C. Greene jewelry.

I believe the guy's will agree - Minka Kelly dazzled in a blue Fendi strapless chiffon dress, wrapped and twisted to perfection. Minka similarly used bright accessories en mode for Spring/Summer to accentuate her look. She also donned Casadei burnt orange suede heels with C. Greene gold accessories.

Worst Dressed

Scarlett Johansson, washed out - literally. All the neutral tones from her shoes to her make up made Scarlett look washed out. I will say this -- the dress is very pretty -- in a different color.

Eva Mendez - the ensemble looks very chic and sophisticated at first glance, however the fit is not right. On top of the most important factor -- fit -- the outfit is a tad too old for the ravishing Mendez. This outfit was a flop in my book.

Men's Style:

A quick shout out to New Orleans Hornets Chris Paul and Los Angeles Clippers Blake Griffin for bringing cool, easy, sophisticated style to this year's awards. These gents were definitely the best dressed.

After the award ceremonies, the party continued at Drai's at the rooftop of the W Hotel - " What happens at Drai's, Stays at Drais" - wink.

red bottom shoes studded zipper ballet flats by dustinferes54

Shoe designer Christian Louboutin is fighting mad. How dare another designer color the soles of his shoes red! His outrage is undeniable. And as a result, the French shoe king is seeking a court order to stop Christian Dior from manufacturing a similar crimson-bottomed shoe.

Now this is the part where you're wondering how a topic like this makes "news." Yes, there are hungry people in the world. Clusters of tragedies befall our communities at every turn. Indeed, there are more important things to address other than high heels with red soles. But for Christian Louboutin, this issue is a dire emergency.

According to the court order, too many red-bottoms on the streets means that Louboutin's "good will, market prominence and fame will be destroyed." To that end, it would probably be imperative to deal with all the counterfeiters looking to cash in on the crimson craze. After all, those "Gucchi" bags and "Louis Vutton" totes you buy in Manhattan's back alleys aren't exactly handmade originals. Will the shoe police suddenly patrol the streets searching for faux red soles?

And what about the women who painstakingly paint their shoes with Maybelline Cherry Rain nail polish, in the hopes of achieving that Louboutin look? Will they be punished as well?

We might assume that the red-soled shoe becomes less special if more than one designer picks up on the trend. If Christian's argument is correct, then the look so coveted by millions of women is less significant if it can be seen virtually anywhere.

It's possible this could mean that other fashion houses will reproduce shoe bottoms of varying shades of red. Could this be the loophole that saves Yves Saint Laurent from financial ruin? YSL's fire engine red might sell faster than Christian Dior's tomato-red soles. And by the time Steve Madden gets in on the trend with his vampire-red line of pumps, Christian Louboutin will have begun marketing authentic platinum encrusted hologram-soled shoes. You see where we're going with this.

Louboutin's successful attempts to "own a color" just might lead to other strange litigation. Some other shoe designer may try to trademark the entire color of yellow. It all boils down to the fact the Christian doesn't want his shoes to become lost in a sea of copycats; if women can get "red-bottoms" anywhere, they won't want to buy Louboutin's. Ironically, it is probably those who can actually afford his shoes who won't care whether another designer copies Christian's color.

Get in-depth information on the top black bridesmaid shoes in 2010. Examined are 5 shoes with style, material, height, brand and price details. Find web site information for purchasing and learn little-known wedding shoe related tips.

The High Heel Store: Lea for $35

These are platform wedding shoes for a bridesmaid with a wide foot. (You know who you are!) There is nothing worse than trying on bridesmaid dress shoes and then not being able to do anything but sit prettily at the side of the dance floor because they are too painful.

These black bridesmaid shoes come in black patent, feature a five inch heel and offer a mix of chunk and petite by virtue of the tasteful ankle strap. The pedicure will be fully featured by the toe cut.

David's Bridal: Lolita for $49

These black bridesmaid dress shoes pull double duty for other occasions as well. A three point five inch heel makes the satin-tops perfect for dancing the night away while the Latin ruffle is all the rage in 2010. Show off a bit of the pedicure via the peep toe cut.

Sears: Touch Ups Women's Katrina for $58

At a moderate heel height of only two and three quarter inches, this satin-top wedding shoe is just right for the big day and the party that follows. The bunched upper and the rhinestone décor make this shoe unsuitable for office wear but a surefire winner for parties. Toes are closed.

Zappos: Munro American Gigi for $148

These black shoes are work horses. The upper portion is made of leather while the lining wicks moisture away from the foot. A removable foot-bed heightens the feeling of comfort in these bridesmaid dress shoes.

The heels are only two inches in height, which makes these black shoes perfect for the taller bridesmaid and also for everyday wear to the office or other occasions. The toes are closed, so there is no need to splurge on a pedicure.

Saks Fifth Avenue: Christian Louboutin Lady Page Pumps for $995 (when money is no object)

The ultimate bridesmaid dress shoes - at least pricewise - are these black shoes made in Italy. Platform style with a covered five inch heel, leather interior lining, trademark red sole and upper satin bow, these wedding shoes are excellent for formal affairs.

A Word on Wedding Shoes

Bridesmaid dress shoes are not necessarily chosen with comfort in mind. If you must opt for look over feel, be sure to stretch out the material well in advance of the wedding. Experiment with different insoles to make the wedding shoes comfortable. Remember: there will be a lot of standing, dancing, walking and just looking pretty. Break them in ahead of time, and the odds are good that you will dance the night away.

The revival of our fashion's past has begun; pound on the pedal in your time machine, and enjoy the ride.

Ready-to-wear worldwide is exhibiting trends from decades that rocked the world; clearly the weight of fashion nostalgia was felt and acknowledged. From Audrey Hepburn to Charlie's Angels, the opportunity to adorn in the most yearned after styles has arrived.

Wide-brimmed hats and silk scarves decorated runways; vintage-inspirations are the forefront of fashion. Trending with these unforgettable accessories is the kitten heel and platform wedge.

The kitten heel is not a new way to step with style; we are simply re-visiting a fabulous comeback from the late 1950's. Decades ago, the kitten heel was viewed as a traditional, less-sexy alternative to the towering stilettos, and a safe, formal shoe option for young girls. However, fast forward to the 80's and 90's, this heel was still stomping around the chic shoe market. Now this year, top designers impress consumers with stunning, contemporary collections. Age is irrelevant with this exclusive heel; smaller inches are back to grace all generations.

Given that safety of color is out, and risk is in, try a pink, yellow or nude heel. Pair with capris or a knee-length skirt; the stellar shape of the kitten heel combined with a pop of striking color will have you runway worthy.

Check out the works of art now at Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman.

Alongside the kitten heel, shoe heaven continues with the ultra-stylish, platform wedge. Whether they are wooden or a bohemian chic espadrille wedge, let your coddled feet slip into the 70's.

The platform wedge represents a decade about freedom, so liberate yourself. Try the wedge paired with the ever-so-fashionable bell bottom jean, or take a gander at one of the darling maxi dresses out this spring.

Designing masterminds such as Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin, Prada, Jimmy Choo, and Valentino are stocking the floors of Neiman Marcus with ground-breaking styles this season.

The wedge represents comfort and style; there's no need to worry about toppling over during your day.

Walk confidently from decades that moved fashion in a new direction.

Smile, and let your hair down this spring. Enjoy the time warp.

Paris Fashion Week is winding down. Here is a look at the fall 2010 fashions showcased during the week in Paris. Find out which celebrities were in attendance and what French fashions you can expect to see in department stores and specialty boutiques for the fall 2010 season.

Celebrities who attended Paris Fashion Week:

Celebrities in attendance during Paris Fashion Week included the stunning Charlize Theron, who was spotted at John Galliano. French beauty and film star Juliette Binoche was seen at Lanvin as was Jared Leto. Lindsey Lohan took both John Galliano and Aperlai. Thandie Newton was spotted at Stella McCartney. Maria Shriver along with her lovely daughter was also spotted at Stella McCartney. Anna Wintour continued to make International fashion headlines by leaving Paris Fashion Week several days early, missing many of the largest designer shows.

Paris Fashion Week - Highlights from the Shows

Valentino - Valentino had a great year in 2009 and early 2010 with many noteworthy celebrities choosing to wear his scrumptious red carpet designs. Celebrities will not be disappointed with the Valentino 2010 fall collection which features many lovely red carpet ready gowns.

Dries Van Noten - Dries Van Noten held their show in a lavish French cathedral. The fall 2010 collection was one of the best at Paris Fashion Week. The collection was said to be the perfect combination of polish and comfort. Some of the highlights included leopard fur worn with floral silk crepe pants. The army trench was big as were slouchy menswear trousers. The favorite look, which was interspersed throughout the show, was the pairing of an army green cargo jacket with a leopard print scarf.

Christian Louboutin - I am a shoe girl and I covet Louboutin's incredible designs. The fall 2010 collection did not disappoint. Louboutin's footwear was a combination of leopard print (huge for fall), spikes and old Hollywood glamour. Some of the more noteworthy designs include a silver metallic stiletto heel covered in spikes, while not one of my favorites; it was a classic example of Louboutin's creativity.

Chanel - You can't review Paris Fashion Week without talking about the house of Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, the genius that sits at its helm. The most beautiful item I ever purchased was a black silk off the shoulder Chanel blouse from Chanel's resort collection many years ago. I kept the beauty for two days modeling it in front of my bedroom mirror, luxuriating in its beauty. Alas, I returned it after two days, having never shown it to another soul. I just couldn't justify the extraordinary $1,200 price tag. I still dream of that silk blouse though...

Well enough dreaming, back to Chanel's fall 2010 fashions. Lagerfeld began Chanel's show in a dramatic fashion inspired by global warming. Four models covered head to toe in coffee colored yeti fur suits walked down the ice berg covered runway, but don't worry you won't find Chanel yeti suits at Neiman Marcus this fall. Chanel's fashions were a mix of the traditional lady-like tweed suits, Chanel is noted for with fur panels (mostly faux). Lagerfeld referred to the fall 2010 fashions as "global cooling". Model Vanessa Paradis joins Lindsey Lohan and Alexa Chung as the newest face of Chanel.

Paris Fashion Week - Fashions that will carry over for Fall 2010

Expect to see leopard everything for fall 2010. My recommendation for fashionistas is that if you can purchase just one trend for fall 2010 make it leopard and make it a leopard scarf. Other trends that will be seen for fall 2010 are military inspired fashions and short hemlines.

Paris is the final stop for international fashion week. It has been many years since Paris, still chic as ever, has held the title of "Fashion Capital of the World", New York, London and Milan all appear to be more happening cities, but Paris is and always will be important to the fashion world.

Sexy Shoes 2 by lucyguthrie1

There is no shying away from neon in spring/summer 2012 footwear collections. From Ruthie Davis and Casadei to Louboutin, neon footwear glowed bright for the coming seasons. The dichotomy of neon's '80s retro feel and futuristic vibe makes it the ultimate, eye-catching accessory to add a fun splash of color to any ensemble. Neon's high fashion appeal no longer renders it the sole domain of ravers and tweens. These bold hues leave a lasting impression and define fresh, modern style.

Casadei

Casadei Shoes unveiled their spring 2012 line at Milan Fashion Week. They combined sky high wedges, stilettos and platform heels in bright orange, neon green, yellow, fuchsia and hot pink colors.

The neon yellow Miss Me Tokyo Wedge Sandal is along the same lines and a great way to be in step with the season's trend without breaking the bank. (Amazon.com, $21)

Christian Louboutin

Bright hues, colored metallics, neon accents, glammed up spikes and studs, beading and intricate stitching dominated Christian Louboutin's spring/summer 2012 collection. Louboutin's red sole seemed the only constant. The shoe designer perennially reminds women that footwear is meant to make a statement.

The Fergie Protest Shoes, in a multitude of neon patent hues, has the appeal of a simple, sleek Louboutin pump without the hefty price tag. (ShoeMall.com, $69.95)

Ruthie Davis

Ruthie Davis never plays it safe and her architecturally magnificent, sky-high heels for spring are just as bold as one might expect from her. Neon platforms and metal hardware are staples of the line. Her heels featuring neutral tones with bright neon accents are also a great way to break into the neon trend without committing to a shoe which can be spotted from a block away.

The Jessica Simpson Vadio Heel has similar bold color blocking and a platform heel, like many of Ruthie Davis' designs, but without the studs and hardware. The bright yellow, hot pink and blue blocks of color can be matched with a multitude of outfits. (Zappos.com, $69.99)

If you are a decided commitment-phobe, who only wants a splash of neon, Isola Stella makes a light grey pump with a thick strap of pink neon. You'll be able to get in your dose of spring's most major footwear trend while remaining neutral. (Shoebuy.com, $148.95)

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons' songs are widely known and loved, but what about the story of his life? How did it all begin? Most of the highlights came alive in the Jersey Boys script. It is a song fest of Frankie's greatest hits and celebration of his triumphant journey to success. Frankie struggled to lift himself out of his blue color neighborhood and its criminal influences. Almost slipping into crime, Frankie had a few close calls but fate seemed to steer him in the right direction. When his brother and friends served time in prison, Frankie was singing in the night clubs. Even with his enormous talent, it was a struggle for him to be recognized. The story gives hope that people can succeed, with hard work, even though they are from the wrong side of town.

Jersey Boys opened with the lively "Oh, What a Night," the show moved along at a rapid pace. Each scene was interspersed with narrations, dialogue and songs. They sang "Silhouettes," "You're the Apple of my Eye," "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," "Earth Angel," "Sherry," "Sunday Kind of Love," "My Mother's Eyes," "I Go Ape," "(Who Wears) Short Shorts," "Big Girls Don't Cry,""Walk Like a Man," "My Eyes Adored You," "My Boyfriend's Back," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," and many others. All these songs are packed into one explosive show!

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are a remarkable group. Not only did they wrote their own songs and create their own sounds, but the group sold 176 million records world wide before reaching 30. JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valley and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy De Vito and Nick Massi. It was exciting to watch the original footage of Frankie and The Four Seasons interspersed with the musical numbers in the show. From 1962-1975, Bob Gaudio teamed with partners to write some of the greatest hits for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

The play has a simple set, uncluttered with furniture. I appreciated the ease of the quick segues. They moved from one scene to the next instead of having to wait while the set was changed. The narrow, elevated catwalk above the stage acted as another dimension in which to present their cast. I liked seeing the band walking across the bridge while playing their instruments.

It is an entertaining evening of Doo-Wop music, the way you like to hear it. I am happy to welcome another Broadway play to Las Vegas. Jersey Boys Las Vegas can be proud to join their award winning productions now running in London, Chicago, on Broadway, and along with a touring company across the United States. The play is also scheduled to open in Melbourne, Australia in 2009.

"We're excited to be bringing the remarkable and true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to Las Vegas," says JERSEY BOYS producer Michael David. "It's a story and a sound that has touched the hearts of millions and we're delighted to be making the Palazzo our newest home." Jersey Boys is the winner of the Best Musical Tony Award and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. The original Broadway cast recording on Rhino Records won the Grammy Award for Best Show Recording and remains one of the best-selling show CD's in the US.

This year Barbie turns fifty. Originally retailing at $3.00 and billed as the first American teenage doll, Barbie's name recognition fifty years later is universal with claims that three Barbie Dolls are sold every minute in a worldwide market.2,4 Made for the consumptive age of the fifties, Barbie still has the power to "work it" delighting the collecting generation that first identified with her and pulling in new generations of young collectors and admirers year after year.

Born of French and German heritage, Barbie owes her success to a history that has footholds in the world of antique and modern doll design. Her early roots are found in the vintage masterpiece French Fashion Dolls produced by Jumeau, Bru, Rohmer, and Huret. Made with bisque heads and elaborately costumed and wigged, these fashionable lady dolls were the first adult dolls to be marketed to children in the 1870's. They were sold in trunks, which contained tea sets, clothing, footwear, vanity cases, parasols, fans, and other fashion accessories of the age.4 The Second World War caused a disruption in the manufacture of dolls, but in 1949 new chemistry and manufacturing processes created uses for the invention of plastic-a material that resisted the peeling, flaking and breakage that plagued earlier dolls.

The German sex doll, Bild Lilli, was Barbie's modern prototype. Lilli was a three dimensional, hard plastic, heavily made up and scantily dressed doll introduced in 1955 and sold mainly as a male gag gift. Lilli was exported to other countries and it was in Switzerland that Ruth Handler, co-founder of Mattel discovered her. She brought Lilli to the United States with the express purpose of making an American adult doll to engage the imagination and creativity of young girls. She worked with Mattel executive and designer, Jack Ryan, who bought the German rights to the Lilli doll and negotiated with a Japanese firm for the production of a new doll, named Barbie. Using a modern, soft-mold process, the transformation from Lilli doll prototype to American Barbie saw Lilli's hard plastic lines subdued and lengthened, and her facial features altered slightly to reveal more arched eyebrows over a widened eye that swept downward and to the right. Her Victorian rosebud mouth was stretched and smoothed out into the glamorous fashion model look of the fifties and her hair was rooted and darkened with a thick fringe of bangs added, giving her a softer look. 5 American Barbie had her breasts enlarged, in keeping with her newly lengthened frame and she was given well-defined feet, capable of wearing more than one pair of molded high-heeled shoes.

Barbie debuted on March 9, 1959 at the American International Toy Show in New York. Marketing efforts began with her "Beautiful Barbie" television commercial, which aired during an episode of the Mickey Mouse Club Show in 1959. 5 It had a dramatic influence that subverted conventional notions of appropriate "little girl" dreams and took advantage of an emerging young television target audience. Re-inventing Pierre Jumeau's French Fashion Doll marketing technique 4 of offering an affordable doll with swank clothing and accessories available for separate purchase, Mattel sold all of its 350,000 Barbies within that first year. 5 Irresistible in her black and white, zebra striped bathing suit with its careful hand stitching, Barbie was the "it" doll of 1959. Little girls dreamed of countlessly undressing, dressing and redressing Barbie in her modern outfits priced from one dollar to five.

Fifty years later, Barbie is seldom out of the spotlight. Currently Mattel is fighting hard to help Barbie maintain her place as number one. Sales of new Barbies began to drop in 2007 and continued a downward trend in 2008.8 New kids on the block, the Bratz Dolls, manufactured by MGM Entertainment, have steadily gained market share since their introduction in 2001.8 The Bratz line, created and named by designer Carter Bryant while under contract with Mattel Inc., was taken to MGM Entertainment when they lured him away from Mattel according to testimony reported . MGM built value into the Bratz brand undercutting Mattel market share in all things Barbie-doll related. In December of 2008 Barbie got a big break from a sympathetic jury who ruled that some of the designs were indeed owned by Mattel. In agreement with the jury ruling, U.S. District Judge Stephen Larson concurred that Mattel owns the original drawings and copyright to the Bratz line and may have the right to claim and recall any remaining unsold stock in stores. He called for the manufacture of Bratz to halt but deferred the order until January of 2009. He will issue a final version of the order sometime this year. 6

In February of this year Barbie dominated the catwalk as the muse of New York's Bryant Park semi-fashion week. The fifty most influential fashion designers in the world outfitted her in vintage, current and fast forward future designs. With pink as the backdrop, human Barbie look alikes turned the heads of record-breaking crowds eager to see and be seen at Mattel's first celebration in a yearlong commemoration of her fifty years at the top. 3

Barbie lovers can expect more spectacle and glimpses of Barbie this year as she struts her stuff wearing pink Christian Louboutin designer pumps in Paris, pushes her $500.00 Ultimate Collection, Luxury Assouline Edition Big Pink Book, opens her flagship store in Shanghai, and caps the first part of her fiftieth year with a four day Barbie Collectors Convention this July in Washington, DC. 1 Always irresistible, independent, what she wants to be, and fully accessorized, Barbie remains fabulous at fifty and still the top doll.

christian louboutin heel shoes by Top Quality

The best dressed Golden Globes 2011 red carpet looks were as varied as the actresses that rocked them for the cameras. Elegant restraint competed with vibrant colors and sparkly gowns for approval. As did long-sleeved loveliness and strapless wonders. Angelina Jolie beat Olivia Wilde out for the best dressed actress at the Golden Globes by a hair. Literally.

Angelina Jolie Shines in Emerald Green

Nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture-Comedy or Musical, for her role in "The Tourist". Angelina Jolie didn't win a Golden Globe but was the best dressed. In a long-sleeved, slightly boat necked, back-exposing and floor length Atelier Versace, Jolie was a statuesque vision in sparkling emerald green.

The color brought out her stunning eyes and added depth to her wavy styled brunette locks. Jolie's accessories included Robert Procop jewelry, Ferragamo heels and a gorgeous Brad Pitt.

Also slinking down the carpet in beautiful green gowns were Mila Kunis (nominated) and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Olivia Wilde Almost Best Dressed

That Marchesa dress. Those shoes. Perfection. Unfortunately, there was also that hair.

Presenter and "Tron: Legacy" leading lady Olivia Wilde walked down the red carpet like a modern princess in wicked looking, yet delicately wrought, gold spiked Christian Louboutin booties. They were the perfect touch to her strapless antique gold graduated sequined and chocolate brown tulle ball gown.

Accessorized with Tiffany & Co., she would have been the jewel of the Golden Globes red carpet if her hair hadn't of been so flat and boring. Best Dressed is about overall appearance, the fact that Wilde still comes in second should tell you how amazing her dress and shoes were.

Also making the Golden Globes 2011 best dressed list in brown is movie star Anne Hathaway, in a phenomenal amber Armani Prive and Swarovski crystal embroidered gown. The form-fitting long sleeved dress was remarkably similar to Angelina Jolie's in structure, only with delicately puffed shoulders. The effect was entirely different, though, thanks to the almost snakeskin-like texture.

Subtle Elegance and Racy Red at the Golden Globes

Several actresses tried vintage Hollywood, almost flesh toned or pale pink glamor. Some hit and some missed horribly (Christina Aguilera). Among the best dressed of these actresses were pictures of gorgeously fluid femininity. Among the successes was Scarlett Johansson in a floral appliqued Elie Saab and Jimmy Choos. The full sleeved dress was kept from being too sweet with her avante garde updo, a welcome change from the majority of actresses who played it safe with their locks on the red carpet.

Sandra Bullock (nominated) was also notably understated in a pale pink and exquisitely tasteful embroidered Jenny Packam Grecian inspired gown.

The most notable lady in red would have to be Sofia Vergara (nominated), in Vera Wang dress with a black belt. Eddie Falco looked extremely elegant in her Valentino Couture, one strap gown. She gets extra credit for matching the right shade to her skin tone, not a given on the 2011 Golden Globe red carpet.

Daring Fashion of the Best Dressed

Two celebrities who took a chance with their gowns and scored are Natalie Portman, Golden Globe winner for "Black Swan", and Heidi Klum. Portman's delicate pink strapless Viktor and Rolf with red rose detail. The rose added a delightful surprise to an already pretty gown.

Klum arrived in a sexy striped halter dress and red platform sandals, both by Marc Jacobs. Honestly, the look would have looked hideous on anyone else. But she is Heidi Klum and it looked daringly smashing, fun and fashionable. Plus, she rocked some seriously cool bangles.

Christian Louboutin Forever Tina Fringed Boots by denim therapy pics

The fashion runways prove that boots aren't only made for walking; they're a major fashion statement that have taken on a new look for the Winter 2008-2009 season, and you'll find several new styles to test out this year. Wedge heeled knee-highs, stiletto booties and cuffed boots inspired by the cowgirl crowd are all popping up on the store shelves this year and proving to be some of the season's top trends.

If you're anxious to kick off those classic pumps and sport the latest boots for the season, here are the top trends to help you put together that one of a kind outfit:

The Ultimate Fringe Boot
The Forever Tina Fringe Boot from Christian Louboutin deserves the status of ultimate fringe with its black suede and multi-layered fringe design. The boot is made with a 5 ½" heel and a pointed toe, one of the latest - most popular styles - of the season.

The Patent Leather Bootie
The super-sculpted and contoured bootie is a must for days when you're sporting opaque tights with that shirt dress or pencil skirt. The Versace Patent Leather Peep Toe booties speak to the lace-up trend for the season, and this pair goes the extra mile with cut-outs on each side.

The Western-Inspired Buckled Boot
Suede boots with western appeal are making a comeback this season, and you can pull off the look with patchwork designs, rich leather and buckled straps. The Jean Paul Gaultier Double Buckle Short Boot is a good match for skinny jeans or wearing over skinny tailored pants.

Secret Agent Booties
Tap into your inner spy goddess with a pair of sleek silver and gold booties made with rich suede. The Fendi Secret Code Bootie is designed with a 4.75" heel, gold metal detailing and a dark black suede for the ultimate Bond girl effect. The secret agent style can also be pulled off with a simple patent leather bootie decked out in silver or gold embellishments.

Exotic Skin Booties
Giuseppe Zanotti has pulled the drama of this style straight from the runway with the Snake-Embossed Bootie of the season, an eye-catching pointed toe bootie with a 4" heel. It's made with shimmering snakeskin and a real leather finish; look for similar styles in grey, black and even metallic silver for the ultimate showstopper.

Fold-Over Knee High Boots
Knee-high boots become more sophisticated with a folder cuff and extra-high heel; the tailored Fold Over Tall Boots from Giuseppe Zanotti are a great example of this trend, a platform boot with a 4 ½" heel and wide cuff for extra appeal. Wear this one with that miniskirt you've been dying to wear, or even over a pair of skinny jeans.

Christian-Louboutin-Jenny-Pump-150mm-Red-Pump by jimmchoo

Fab times.

It seems unfair that only the rich and famous are privy to the finest wardrobes in the world. It isn't every day that one gets to purchase a "one-of-a-kind" Oscar de la Renta red, ruffled blouse for $950. For some people this blouse costs more than the monthly rent. That being said, $950 isn't exactly a huge fortune in comparison to other items that Americans spend money on. It is possible to pepper your wardrobe with high-end, couture items, without selling any of your vital organs. With so many yummy pieces on the market, it can be tough trying to determine which ones are actually worth saving some extra money for. While high-end clothing is generally of grand quality, there are some pieces that you will probably want to keep as wardrobe mainstays. And with a bit of ingenuity, some careful planning, and a whole lot of restraint you can polish up your daily attire with a couture touch.

A Good Trench Coat

One of the most influential classic pieces of clothing a woman can own is a trench coat. These mysterious-looking articles come in all sorts of colors, textures, and styles. Burberry is an example of a high-end label from London recognized mostly by its distinctive plaid design. Burberry, however, manufactures trench coats in traditional solid colors like khaki and black. There are in fact, many different high-quality trench coat labels you can buy. Burberry is one of the more expensive brands. But others like DKNY, Marc Jacobs, and Fendi are all reputable designer labels.

A Great Evening Gown

The first thing you'll want to do is make sure that you're at a weight that you're comfortable with. Because for the amount that you could spend on a couture gown, you certainly won't want to make any alterations. Even if you very rarely attend formal events, it is a good practice to have one good evening dress on hand. If you don't have a particularly flamboyant personality, you probably will want to skip J.Lo's 2000 Grammys "down-to-there" Versace gown. Nonetheless, a wardrobe will always be served well by a vintage dress. Dresses inspired by the 40s (especially with great hair and accessories) never seem to go out of style. It's a great way to update your personal look. An example would be Yves Saint Laurent's 40s style black jersey gown.

A Stunning Pair of Evening Shoes

There are few fashion mavericks out there who won't tell you that it's imperative to invest in a great pair of evening shoes. While it may seem that trends change with the wind, there are several styles that will always be acceptable as evening wear. The peeptoe pump has never really left the fashion scene, though the market is now literally saturated with them. Look for styles with skinny (or stiletto) heels, as chunky-heeled styles tend to go in and out of style at various times. Pointy-toed pumps in neutral colors are also great investments. Are you salivating over the idea of owning a pair of Christian Louboutins? If you've "only" got $700 to spare, you will probably get more wear out of a pair of his black suede peeptoe heels, than a leopard print patent leather pump for around $600. The choice is yours. But keeping simple helps stretch your budget.

A Strong Suit

No matter your profession or walk of life, there will typically be at least one occasion in your life that will require you to wear a suit of some sort. The good news is that women's suits have evolved monumentally over the years. With all sorts of prints, colors, and patterns, it is possible to transform your entire appearance, with just one powerful ensemble. The key to finding the right suit is in understanding your body type, and then locating the right cut of suit for your frame. Fuller figured women will want to find jackets that have some sort of tailoring at the waist-to avoid a "boxy" look. When shopping, look for straight leg designs for pantsuits. Remember also that a classic pencil skirt can go a long way. The pieces should be easily mixed and matched with other items in your wardrobe, so as to maximize their use. Thus, you'll want to make sure you buy quality textures that are easy to maintain through dry cleaning.

A Classic Bag

Whatever your personal style, a woman can never go wrong with a luxury couture handbag. Since there are so many styles which are acceptable with lots of different looks, investing in a bit of fantasy won't hurt too much. Know that extremely trendy looks (like Louis Vuitton's multi-colored Keepall) may become a bit passe. But the standard brown bags with camel-colored imprint is the epitome of classic. As a rule of thumb, you'll want to look for a bag that is very durable and will last you a long time. If you have to spend more than $500 on a bag, you should at the very least have a specific purpose for it in mind.

How Can I Buy This Stuff Without Going Broke?

I know you're probably wondering how you're supposed to afford all of these hotsy totsy items on a meager salary. A sensible approach will help you to blend these pieces seamlessly into your wardrobe with little worry. But the first thing you must do is assess how much you're willing to spend on luxury items. Once you have figured this out, create a "fund" or a "personal layaway plan" where you tuck away a certain amount each paycheck. The effort could be as simple as allotting your Movie Night money to your couture cause instead.

You also might want to become a frequent visitor of stores like Marshall's and T.J.Maxx. These stores tend to offer higher end merchandise for a greatly reduced cost. Because the inventory of merchandise varies so much, you will need to visit these kinds of stores prepared to pay (unless there is a valid lay-away plan in place); the items you see may disappear within a matter of days, if not minutes.

Visiting discount web sites is also an excellent way to find reduced couture wardrobe pieces. Logging onto sites like BlueFly.com and even Overstock.com will reward you with all kinds of great deals. Locating obscure upscale items on eBay is also a great idea, as it is a literal treasure trove.

Christian Louboutin- Black and Red Hyper Prive Pumps (Lft side) by jordan23queen

The end of each winter season brings with it the public outcry for glorious color. The days of seeing our world in shades of black and white have stretched interminably and have tediously outstayed their welcome. Spring of 2011 finds us longing for all things filled with light, sparkle and color.

It's the perfect timing for Steuben's launch of their colorful, hand-blown crystal bowls...the first for the iconic crystal company in almost 80 years. But these bowls, luminous in colors like warm sunset, cool indigo and neutral smoke are hand-made with a remarkable designs.

The unique effect of merging the clear crystal base with the hued body of the bowl produces an extra architectural element when you view the pieces from above as well, encouraging one to simply display it as is...no accompaniment required.

Another hot trend for 2011 is crystal in another venue: Christian Louboutin has incorporated the bling in their Pigalilis.

Again, designers have incorporated the sparkle-factor of clear crystal with the visual pop of both the silver in the shoe and their trademark red heel. These shoes are whimsical, yet still manage to be classic Louboutin. And with that five-inch stiletto heel, there's no doubt you'll feel on top of the world whenever you wear them.

Yet another example of the clear/color combination can be found in lighting trends this year. Just take a look at this Queen floor lamp design by the Italian company Micron Illuminazione.

The fuschia jewel tones alternate with pure, emerald-cut sparkling crystal...and the effect is dazzling, especially with the constellation-style, cylindrical circles seemingly floating atop the slender silver base.

With so much use of glass color on tap for this coming year, how will you incorporate it into your life? At the end of the day, the quality of handmade, high-quality glass is undoubtedly, indisputably clear.

Pun intended.

Shoe of the moment: Daffodil 160 suede platform pumps by Christian Louboutin by kimberly-lyn

Hey, guys have their fantasy sports teams. I have my fantasy fashion. This time I am sharing some of my fantasy jewelry purchases. Not just the jewelry but also the outfits I would love to pair them with. I feel we all deserve a little fantasy in our lives. So come take a peak at one of my fantasies - luxury jewelry.

Mikimoto Pearls Make Me Swoon

Diamonds are said to be a girl's best friend, but pearls are mine. More specifically Mikimoto pearls. To be exact, black pearls. I don't care for the gaudy clusters but I do love the luxury of a single black pearl. My fantasy Mikimoto black pearl set:

- 8MM black cultured pearl with diamond accent set in 18-carat white gold. Price tag: $1,670.00

- 9MM black pearl pendent on an 18-carat white gold chain. Price tag: $1,020.00

- 9MM black South Sea pearl and diamond ring, 18 - carat white gold ring. Price tag: $2,820.00

Fantasy Ensemble: A sexy white cocktail dress, preference, a halter dress is the main garment. The Doo.Ri Belted Halter Jersey Dress has a plunging neckline that gives the simple Mikimoto black pearl necklace a spotlight to shine. Hair should be slicked back in a neat chignon or a smooth ponytail so the earrings can be seen. A pair of Christian Louboutin Mary Jane Pumps in the ever-so-fitting color of oyster and Badgley Mischka Silver Mesh Clutch would complete this fantasy look.

My Heart Stops for Drop Earrings

My favorite type of earrings are drop earrings, especially those featuring my favorite stones ruby, sapphire, emeralds, turquoise and amethyst. Sorry, I'm not much of a diamond girl. These stones can be pricey but I would love to own one of the following pairs of drop earrings:

- Paolo Costagli's Amethyst and Ruby Earrings set in 18-carat yellow gold. Price tag: $1,850.00

- Stephen Webster's Turquoise Vortex Earrings with white and black diamonds set in 18-carat white gold. Price tag: $7,750.00

- Stephen Webster's Teardrop Earrings featuring clear quarts over mother-of-pearl and pave diamond detail set in 18-carat yellow gold. Price tag: $4,500.00

Fantasy Ensemble: My fantasy ensemble look matches the Paolo Costagli Amethyst and Ruby Earrings. An elegant and very sexy evening gown from the Ralph Lauren Collection - Joelle Cross-Neck Satin Gown in purple silk satin is the main garment. A pair of Manolo Blahnik Satin Ankle-Wrap d'Orsay black open-toe shoes and a Lanvin Satin Flap Puchette in black will complete this fantasy ensemble.

I Love Mixing Chunky Bracelets and Chokers with Jeans and Sexy Tops

While my first two jewelry fantasies lingered more to fine jewelry for eveningwear, I also like the look of fine jewelry mixed together with casual ensembles. For this, I find that bracelets and chokers work best at upping the style ante of casual garments. Here are a few I am fantasizing about:

- Rose Quartz and Mother-of-Pearl Disc Multi-Strand Bracelet made from 14-carat yellow gold, rose quartz beads and pink shell. Price tag: $2,275.00

- Cultured Freshwater Pearl and Diamond Bracelet made from a triple row of Akoya pearls, diamond detailed stations in 14-carat white gold. Price tag: $2,700.00

- Jose and Maria Barrera Crystal Choker made from rhodium-plated white metal and clear Australian crystals. Price tag: $1,125.00

Fantasy Ensemble: Since I like creating a unique casual look with fine jewelry, my fantasy ensemble has a bit of an edge to it. Using the Jose and Maria Barrera Crystal Choker as the building block, I choose the Herve Leger Ombre Off-the-shoulder Bandage Dress in grey. However, I would not wear this dress as a dress but as a tunic worn over a pair of 7 For All Mankind Ginger High-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans in a lightweight mercer wash. Finish off the look with a pair of Sofia High-Heel Open-Toe Platform Booties in antique rose and a Milly Studded Hobo in ecru.

There you have them. My fantasy jewelry league and the fashions I would wear with them. Each season my fantasy jewelry league will change a little so there is always fun to be had. So what are your fantasy jewelry picks? Go for broke with your choices. After all, it is just a fantasy.

Christian Louboutin louis studded zebra leopard men sneaker by gumarstrade

Sex and the City has been my go to show for fashion trends and designers. Though some of the outfits that these four ladies wear are way out of my realm of fashion, I must commend them for their fashion dos and don'ts. The new Sex and the City movie featured several outfits by some of the most famous designers in the world. I have searched high and low to find these outfits and their designers and now I am going to share my knowledge with you!

In practically the opening scene of the movie the girls are seen walking in Brooklyn. Charlotte's white v-neck chemise and heels are by Prada. Carrie's pink Erica Striped oxford shirt accented with black tie, vintage cream Eliza Vest and matching sleek tapered slacks are all products of Ralph Lauren. Her shoes, however, are Manolo Blahniks. Miranda's gold v-neck dress is by Alberta Ferretti. Samantha's red outfit is a skirt from Valentino, a Thierry Mugler jacket, and topped off with a Fendi tote.

At the auction, Charlotte, in a more daring attempt at fashion than normal, is caught on camera in a Ferragamo dress, Christian Louboutin heels and a Chanel bag. Carrie, being the brightest of all three in this scene, sports a floral vintage dress, Manolo Blahnik zebra shoes, and a Fendi pencil case. Miranda steps out of her suit and tie attire to slide into her newfound glamor with a Maggie London dress, gold belt, and Gucci pumps. Samantha appears in Dior peep-toe heels, Thierry Mugler jacket, Herve Leger pencil skirt, Hunting season bag, and Baby Phat sunglasses.

During Carrie's wedding dress photo shoot she tries on several dresses from Lacroix, Lanvin, Dior, Vera, and Oscar though she ends up wearing a beautiful Vivienne Westwood to her wedding. Charlotte's bridesmaid dress was a black gown by Zac Posen accented with a Daniel Swarovski necklace. Miranda's bridesmaid dress is a rich blue Zac Posen gown and Burberry shoes. Samantha's bridesmaid dress was Zac Posen and Jimmy Choo heels.

For fashion week, Carrie wore a Lucien Pelat chinchilla over a Dolce & Gabbana dress. Charlotte wore a Gianfranco Ferre dress, Valentino top and John Galliano jacket. Miranda wore a J. Mendel coat over a Prada dress. Samantha's fashion week outfit consisted of a white mink and Sonia Rykiel gloves.

For their night out in the meatpacking district, Carrie sports a vintage Yves Saint Laurent cape, Dior sandals and VBH bag. Charlotte wears a Vicki Tiel dress, Miu Miu shoes and a Chanel bag. Samantha wears a mirrored dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes and Swarovski bag. Miranda wears a Carolina Herrera dress, Brian Atwood heels and Roberto Cavalli bag.

Other outfits in the movie not mentioned above were Samantha's red outfit which is a skirt from Valentino, a Thierry Mugler jacket, and topped off with a Fendi tote. Charlotte appears outside Lumi restaurant in a black and white polka dot Oscar de la Renta dress and pink trench coat. Samantha and her pooch sport matching attire when she appears in a yellow Versace dress, Jimmy Choo sandals, a white high fashion belt, and Nancy Gonzalez handbag. The leash and collar for her pooch were made especially for the movie. In yet another outfit, Samantha is totally put together in white Dior with gold accents and Alexander McQueen sunglasses.

Though I have not covered every outfit in the movie worn by the four friends, I have given a lot! If you would like to purchase any outfits from the Sex and the City movie, you will have to order from the designer sites or catalogs. Make sure that you have a cosmopolitan in your hand while you order, so that you can feel totally Sex and the City.
